June 8, 2022- JABC was pleased to host the 16th annual Business Laureates of BC Hall of Fame Gala Dinner and Induction Ceremonies on June 7, 2022. The event took place at the Vancouver Convention Centre West which is also the physical site of the Hall of Fame.
Over 750 guests attended the gala dinner which hadn’t been held in person since 2019. The evening was hosted by Chris Gailus, Anchor for Global BC News, and we welcomed special guest speaker Deborah Flint, President & CEO, Greater Toronto Airports Authority who shared her vision of transformation with a focus on what Canadian airports mean to Canada and the world, and what it means to create the airport of the future.
Deborah Baker, Squamish Nation, performed a lively territory welcome that had all of the guests up on their feet.
The 2022 Laureates inducted and honoured at the event were:

The induction ceremonies were performed by 2022 Hall of Fame Co-chairs, Fred Withers and Janet Wood.
Several past Laureates who weren’t able to celebrate their induction in person were honoured and they included: David Podmore (2019), Clarence Louie (2020), Gordon Diamond (2020), and Arran and Ratana Stephens (2020).
