Widely recognized as one of Vancouver’s most influential contributors to the real estate industry, David Podmore brought years of planning and development experience when he co-founded Concert with Jack Poole in 1989. Today, David serves as the Chair of Concert Real Estate Corporation and as the Chair and CEO of Concert Infrastructure Ltd.
David holds a Bachelor’s Degree specializing in Community and Regional Planning from the University of British Columbia and a Master’s Degree (Earth Sciences) specializing in Urban Planning from the University of Alberta. He is a Registered Professional Planner (MCIP), a Professional Member of the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia (RIBC) and a Professional Member of the Real Estate Institute of Canada (FRI).
David currently serves on the Board of LifeLabs and as Advisory Committee Director of Balfour Pacific Capital. He is Chair of the BCIT Inspire Capital Campaign and has served as Chair of FortisBC and is Past Chair of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
David is the recipient of numerous community and professional awards including the first Award of Excellence granted by the Real Estate Institute of BC. He is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and in 2014 was invested to the Order of British Columbia. In 2016 David received the Rix Award for Engaged Community and Corporate Citizenship from the Vancouver Board of Trade. In 2017, David was selected as the BC CEO of the Year for “Enterprise” Category.
