Don’s career began at 17, when he co-founded Distinctive Software, which became Electronic Arts’ first post-IPO acquisition in 1991 and grew into EA Canada. He rose to President of EA’s Worldwide Studios, helping grow the company from roughly $100 million to $24 billion in market capitalization. He later joined Microsoft as President of the Interactive Entertainment Business, overseeing the Xbox division’s unprecedented growth, before becoming CEO of Zynga, where he helped shift the company to a mobile-first strategy. His leadership attracted billions in investment to British Columbia and helped establish the province as a global technology hub. In March 2026, Don became CEO of Photonic Inc., a leading Canadian quantum computing company, in addition to serving as Vice Chair of its board.

Nanon served for 10 years as Senior Vice-President of Telemedia Communications, one of Canada’s leading media companies with major holdings in publishing and radio broadcasting, before co-founding MdGB Capital with Don in 1991. She founded Beehive Holdings, an angel fund supporting diverse teams from seed to Series A, and co-founded Maison Homes, a boutique developer of luxury and multifamily residences across BC. A founding investor in Photonic Inc., Nanon served on its board from 2016 to 2026 and continues to advise the company. In 2026, she founded the Vital Women Foundation to advance women’s health research and address systemic gaps in longevity and healthspan. She also served on the Harvard Business School Board of Dean’s Advisors from 2021 to 2025.

Together, Don and Nanon are dedicated to supporting female entrepreneurs, mentoring the next generation, and investing in the people and companies shaping British Columbia’s innovation economy.
